Founder Ihor Pidruchny has launched the Ukrainian Information Technology (IT) Development Center today in hopes to raise awareness for promoting the Ukrainian IT industry. The program will feature a social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to encourage interaction with Ukrainian IT talent. The initiative’s mission is to let the world know that despite the current political situation, the Ukrainian IT industry is going strong.

According to the Central and Eastern European Outsourcing Association, in 2013 Ukraine ranked first among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in terms of “best market value in IT-outsourcing” and “the largest number of staff employed in IT.” This year Ukrainian companies will export computer and information services worth $764.2 million, up last year from $464.2 million dollars. In 2014, the Ukrainian IT industry is expected to grow 20 percent.
“We would like to let all the U.S.-based supporters of improvements in Eastern Europe know that our day-to-day work has not been affected by the political situation. Every day we help startups and entrepreneurial clients realize their business goals and stay competitive,” said Ihor Pidruchny, an IT activist and entrepreneur, who is spearheading the initiative.
