Wowza (full name – Wowza Streaming Engine) is a server software for the organization as a broadcast streaming audio and video, as delivery of video on demand . Until February 2014 had called Wowza Media Server. It is developed by Wowza Media Systems, and it is the main product of Wowza Media Systems. Wowza is written in Java, can be installed on the following systems: Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, Unix, and Windows.

It allows broadcasting on various types of devices and clients, including Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, Apple QuickTime and devices running iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch), mobile phones with 3GPP standard (Android, BlackBerry OS, Symbian), IPTV devices (Amino, Enseo, Roku and others), gaming consoles (Wii, PS3).


Flussonic Media Server is a server for media streaming. It works with almost all streaming protocols on local networks and Internet and supports all devices. Flussonic developed using the Erlang programming language and can be deployed on any linux operating systems.
