Objective-C is a compiled, object-oriented programming language which is used by Apple corporation. It is built on the basis of the C language and Smalltalk paradigms. The object model is built in Smalltalk style – this means that the messages are sent to the objects. Objective-C language is a superset of C language, that’s why C-code is fully understandable for Objective-C compiler. Objective-C compiler is included in GCC and is available for use on the most major platforms. Swift is the multi-paradigm, object-oriented programming language, which is created by Apple company for iOS and OS X developers. Swift works with Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks and is compatible with the main code base of Apple, that is written in Objective-C. Swift was conceived as a more secure language than as Objective-C.
